He graduated with a BFA from University of Santo tomas. He is best known for his abstract colorful paintings and mental sculptures. His “Dancing Rings” won the Grand Prize in the international Sport and Art Contest during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His other well-known sculpture series are Ballerina, Dance of the Rings, and Bosom. He won the Gold Medal at the UNESCO International Calendar Design Competition in France in 1982. He also won a prize at the Moscow Olympic Poster Design in 1980, and the AAP Annual Competition in 1978.
